Recently I’ve received a lot of inquiries about engagement photography, and this is understandable.  With the spring just around the corner and summer following, there’s a lot of weddings coming up.  Some couples have already booked (or are still in the process of booking) a wedding photographer, but they want engagement photos done.  I’m doing what I can at this point to cater to these individuals, weither you’ve already have a photographer for your wedding or if you’re still looking.

Are these photos really that important?

Every now and then, I get asked this question by an inquiring bride or groom.  I’m sure there’s a lot of personal reasons from couple to couple about why these photos are so important, but here’s a quick list I’ve come to know as reasons why you should get your engagement photos done by a professional:

  • You’ll get photos taken of you and your sweet heart at a location of your choice, and you’ll get to keep all these photos on a High Resolution DVD from my studio
  • These photos are great to give as gifts to your parents, family members, and others who are contributing to helping you get your wedding planned and paid for
  • You can use the photos in your wedding, such as in a slide show, getting a matted print that people can sign on the way into the reception, or have a custom made guest book for guests to sign
  • You can have the memories of before you got married to show family and friends in the years to come
