Iaido Cutting Practice

As some of you may know, I’m just as big of an enthusiast about martial arts as I am about photography. Recently I had the opportunity to attend a Tamashigiri (sword cutting practice) with a group of Iaido practicioners.

There was many great photos taken this day, including cutting of two liter bottles filled with water, cutting of wara (rolled straw mats), and I got a really nice group photo at the end.

Thanks to Kevin Blok Kyoshi for inviting me to attend this, and a great thanks to all who participated for not dismembering me in any way! OSU!
