Wedding Photography Information

Without going into too much detail, I’ll give you a few things that I’ve done for my past clients to help you understand what a wedding package will give you from my studio:

  • All Day Coverage – When you book your wedding with me, you’ll be assured all day coverage. Why is this so important? I know from experience that 9 out of 10 weddings never go as planned, and there’s always something getting in the way of your big day! With All Day Coverage, you can rest assured that all the great moments on your wedding day will be photographed for you to remember, and that you’ll have plenty of photos to look through once your big day is over.
  • Two Photographers – All wedding packages come with two photographers, to ensure that we capture all the small moments, as well as the large ones. The best part about this is that you’ll have two different perspectives of your whole wedding day, plus two ways to show your family and friends.
  • Images on DVD – You’ll receive all your images on a DVD, in both High Resolution (for archiving and printing) as well as Low Resolution (for facebook and e-mailing to family and friends).  With all your images on DVD in high resolution, you’ll be able to keep the photos in the highest quality format, and print them as you please. Plus, with the images already in low resolution format, you can easily upload the images on Facebook and show everyone how great of a time you had!
  • Custom Designed Wedding and Parent Albums – Every album that I make starts from scratch – no templates are used, and every album is designed in a story-board fashion.  This insures that your wedding album will tell the story of your wedding day from start to finish, and also be a treasured family memory for all the years to come. For more information about this, please see the wedding album secion below.

A Wedding Photographer Story…

Many times I’m asked how I got started as a wedding photographer. Well, here’s the story…

When I was a young photographer, I was called by a company that offered a variety of wedding services, and asked if I would work with them as their photographer. I had never photographed a wedding before, and was very ambitious, so I said yes (this whole conversation happened while I was cleaning the tiles in my shower stall.) So after I had one day of training, I was given my first wedding assignment. The company was generous and giving me a great pay rate, plus promise of photographing more weddings in the future, so I was incredibly excited about all of this! The day came, and I received my itinerary for the day. I arrived at the bride’s location, and went in, and suddenly realized… I was the ONLY photographer there….

I’d gotten a lot of advice from other photographers that I’d spoken with about wedding photography, and also about the importance of having a second shooter, but it was nothing like actually being THE ONLY photographer, and having such a great responsibility to the bride and groom. It was a very nervous start to the whole experience, but I managed to get through the day without losing my cool. Once that was over, I was asked to come back to the company and complete several more wedding photography assignments for them. Overall, I had a great experience with the company, and was able to get some first hand experience at wedding photography.

I started to develop a small base of wedding clients after that, and eventually developed my own style of wedding photographs. I’ve developed my work into the photos that you see today on my website, and I’m very proud to say that I am a wedding photographer!

Wedding Album Design

Also, I create custom designed albums for my clients. As mentioned above, your wedding album will be custom designed from a blank canvas, so there’s no use of templates. It will allow total artistic freedom in the designing of your wedding album, which should, like every wedding, be unique.

I use Vision Art as my album printing company of choice (www.visionartbook.com)  All pages are printed on fine art paper with archival inks, and bound panoramically with no cuts, so you get more out of every page. These are hand-bound albums, and are among the best I’ve ever seen put into print! For more information on these albums, please go to www.visionartbook.com

FAQ’s

Q.  How much is a wedding photography package?

A.  That question isn’t the same for everyone, because not everyone wants the same thing for their wedding.  I talk to a lot of people about wedding photography, and some just want their images on DVD, some want that and albums, and some want albums for their parents as well.  I accomodate all of this, but there’s different pricing for all these scenarios.  To give you a better idea, a typical investment into wedding photography with me will cost around $2700.00, and that will guarantee you all-day coverage plus your images on DVD, and a few other cool things.  Please go to my wedding photography inquiry page and send me an email, and I’ll contact you within two days to give you all the details.

Q. Do I get the rights to print the images after I get them on DVD?

A. Yes.  Once I’m done editing the images and present them to you on DVD, you can print them at any place you feel would do a good job of printing them.  I offer with every wedding package credit towards printing, and I use a professional printing lab to get the best results, but you can print them at your own liberty.

Q. How long does it take for me to get my images after the wedding?

A. After the wedding, I’ll be backing up your wedding photos for safe keeping, and they’ll go into an editing process.  Once they’re done, I’ll put them on DVD, package them up nicely, and let you know that they’re ready to be picked up.  This whole process takes between 4-8 weeks after your wedding day, and from what my past brides have told me, it’s worth the wait.

Q. Is there an engagement photo shoot included with the wedding package?

A. Yes.  When you book your wedding photography with me, you’ll get a free engagement photo shoot.  This can be taken at any time before the wedding, and we can talk about location, time, and date once we get your wedding day booked.

Any other questions you have I would be more than happy to address via email.  Please visit my Wedding Photography Inquiry page to let me know what’s on your mind, and I’ll get in touch with you shortly afterwards.
